Australian Shepherd.

Despite their name, they are an Australian Shepherd dog breed born in the west of the United States, not Australia, amid the Gold Rush in the 1840s. The breed was originally bred to herd animals and guard livestock; they are working dogs.

Smart, hardworking and adaptable, The Aussie is a dog with no qualms and thrives in a house where his energy and brains are utilized to their fullest. There’s no need to have an entire flock of sheep when you have an Aussie. However, it’s not a bad idea, and you must keep him engaged. The Aussie is a dog with a lot of energy who doesn’t understand the concept of a couch potato and would not like it if it were his choice.

Because he has the energy to use, he requires ample exercise. Even a stroll around the block won’t cut it. And at a minimum, a yard to work on his ya-yas. Without a task to complete and bored, he can become destructive and noisy. He could even come up with his task: guiding the children, whether yours or your neighbors’, chasing cars or other animals, or even tearing down your house. If you do not have the time or the energy to exercise and train your Aussie every day, it’s probably not the breed for you. Despite its popularity, it wasn’t officially recognized by The American Kennel Club until 1993.

Corgis are herding group dogs with a history of at least a thousand years. Some historians believe that Corgis have introduced to Wales at least 1200 BC!

Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs are spunky, intelligent dogs with a mind of their own and strong will. This is a great advantage for them and gives them an incredibly charming personality. They are extremely energetic and competitive.

Did you know exist two different Corgi breeds? There are two distinct breeds of Corgi. Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi were once classified as one breed. However, this was changed in the 1930s.

The primary difference between the two kinds in appearance is the way they look. (Cardigans are more round with a rounder ear and more tails.) The majority of the time, Pembroke Corgi dogs are used to make the Corgherd. But any Corgi breed could be the mother of an Auggie puppy.
